We find ourselves on the edge of a vortex! We are space travelers without space suits hovering on the fringes of a black hole, most of us hoping that we won’t be pulled in. For the most part, we are not scientists after all. Even the scientists among us are holding onto their hats these days.

Here’s what we know: At the quantum level particles become entangled so that the state of one instantly influences the state of others no matter how far apart they are.

The question that begs to be asked is this: If particles react this way, is it possible that, at a fundamental level, all matter does the same?

We know, for instance, that all objects experience gravitational forces which is why the apple falls downward when it leaves the tree.

But the title of this speculation implies a different question. We all know that we get older and eventually die, but is the arrow of time absolutely and always pointing in one, and only one, direction? Perhaps not! Perhaps the unidirectional aspect of Time is only a persistent symptom of reality and not a fundamental aspect of it.
