Take a look at recent presidential history: 1989-1983 Republican George H. W. Bush (41), 1993-2001 Democrat Bill Clinton (42), 2001-2009 Republican George W. Bush (43), 2009-2017 Democrat Barack Obama (44), 2017-2021 Republican Donald Trump (45), 2021-2025 Democrat Joe Biden (46), and, unless something unusual happens in the next two months, 2025-2028 Republican (in name only) Donald Trump (47).
There’s a pattern!
Ping! And four or eight years later, Pong! It’s a political game that has nothing to do with moving our great country in the right direction. The periodic back and forth is the main symptom of our hyper-partisan political system which causes us to be unable to cooperate on the national level.
Proposed: Let’s throw out the misleading and unproductive labels Conservative and Liberal.

Mentally put everybody who would prefer to direct our limited resources (tax revenue) towards the national productivity. In essence, these American citizens want to compound success by rewarding it monetarily.
Now mentally put everybody who would prefer to direct our limited resources (tax revenue) towards ensuring nobody gets left behind.
Now fill the middle up with people like me.
Proposed: Let’s start working hard to make the middle happy!
