In the world of high-tech computing, breakthroughs do not come from scaling up. They come from scaling down.
Everybody is always talking about game changers. The $249 Jetson Orin “supercomputer” by NVIDIA will be one. It is powerful, cheap, and small enough to be integrated into or with any device. The picture shows the CEO of NVIDIA holding one in his hand. This device will soon be paired with robotics, cars, and PC’s.
It is said to be as powerful as the generation of much larger and less efficient supercomputers built just two decades ago. It is powered by 25 watts or less.
This is still just a computer. It is useless without Programming, but Large Language AI programming is well underway!
I’m going to say, “Wow!”
